We introduce a morphing procedure that can be used to generate new quantum codes from existing codes. In particular, we morph the 15-qubit Reed-Muller code obtain $[\![10,1,2]\!]$ is smallest known stabilizer with fault-tolerant logical $T$ gate. addition, construct family of hybrid color-toric by color code. Our inherits gates original code, implemented via constant-depth local unitaries. As special case this construction, toric multi-qubit control-$Z$ gates. also provide an efficient decoding algorithm for in two dimensions, and numerically benchmark its performance phase-flip noise. expect may useful technique modifying other families such as triorthogonal

Quantum codes derived from cyclic codes

In this note, we present a construction of new nonbinary quantum codes with good parameters. These codes are obtained by applying the Calderbank-Shor-Steane (CSS) construction.
